The Goblin is a Common character who can be unlocked in the Desert World. He has moderate health and high damage. He attacks from close range with his dagger. His Baby ability allows him to drop 5 coins when he is selected from a Battle Chest, and his Classic ability increases the number of coins to 7. His Super ability allows him to drop 15 coins when Fused, and his Ultra ability increases the number of coins to 10. In his ultimate form fusion Goblin gives 30 coins. His origin game is Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.

Strategy

Offensive Strategy

• The Goblin is a decent attacking unit who can be used to deal with small monsters, and when Fused, can deal with medium monsters by himself.
• It's recommended to get the Goblin early on, especially during the start of the match, to get free coins to buy chests to grow your Squad.
• The Goblin is an excellent choice in the Double Trouble and Fusion Start mods, as the higher number of Goblins added in the squad will allow the player to gain an early lead.
• The player should not pick the Goblin in 1-Coin Chests because every chest already costs 1 coin, unless a Trader is available, who can trade the coins for gems or a Dr.T is available, who will create a Mega Crab.

Defensive Strategy

• Goblins do not offer much after being added to the squad, so you can have them disposed in place of other characters once they have already given the coins.
• In the Doppelgangers mod, when you have the Goblin alongside the Trader, make sure that the dropped coins do not get collected by other squads, so that when the Goblins transform into Traders, you will get a lot of gems, thereby increasing the chance of getting first place.

Trivia

• Goblins are small, grotesque, monstrous creatures that appear in the folklore of multiple European cultures. First attested in stories from the Middle Ages, they are ascribed conflicting abilities, temperaments, and appearances depending on the story and country of origin, ranging from mischievous household spirits to malicious, bestial thieves. They often have magical abilities similar to a fairy or demon, such as the ability to shapeshift. Similar creatures include duendes, kobolds, leprechauns, and ghouls.
• The Goblin was the first character to have a skin, being the Ninja skin.
• The Goblin is featured in other non-Clash games. More specifically:
  • The Goblin, along with the Barbarian, were featured as a monster in Puzzles and Dragons, in a dungeon called Clash of Clans Dungeon.
  • The Goblin, along with the Barbarian, Hog Rider, Wizard, Archer Queen, and Witch, were featured as a non-playable opponent in Chess. Also along with the Archer Queen, it was also featured as a character skin for the Pawn in Chess.
• During Clash Royale's 1st Anniversary offer, when the free Magical Chest is opened, a right-facing Goblin was there trying to blow out a candle. The candle would appear on a Miner's helmet if the Gold and Gem pack in the middle is purchased, and a left-facing Goblin will appear if the Gold and Super Magical Chest pack on the right is purchased.
• The Squad Busters YouTube channel posted a special short describing the Goblin's abilities. The Goblin is the only character that received this "special" treatment.
• The Goblin's Plaza messages are meant to be read backwards, except for the word 'Coins'. This gives:
  • Hehe! Gotta grab it! Shiny COINS! Fast!
  • Me hungry! Gimme the COINS! Now!
  • I just love Coins ♥
  • Do you have?? Coins!
