The Hog Rider is a Rare character who can be unlocked in the Green World. He has moderate health and high damage. He attacks from close range with his hammer. His Baby Ability allows the squad to gain a Turbo boost in grass, and his Classic ability makes this Turbo last 50% longer. His Super ability allows the Turbo recharge 50% faster, and his Ultra ability makes the Turbo increase movement speed even further. In his ultimate form turbo increases attack speed even further. His origin games are Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.

Strategy

Offensive Strategy

• Hog Rider is excellent for fighting enemy squads, as he effectively makes your turbo last forever, making your squad much more powerful in combat and making it easier to chase a fleeing squad down, with the former skill being improved even further with the Ultimate form, and the latter with the Ultra form.
• Tank is an excellent counter to the Hog Rider, as when she is in her vehicle, she is able to destroy grass, preventing the Hog Rider from activating his abilities.
• Greg pairs well with Hog Rider. Hog Rider's Baby ability gives a speed boost whenever the player enters grass, and every tree is located next to grass, allowing Greg to always chop down the trees fast. This can be further amplified with Barbarian King, who is able to affect both characters.

Defensive Strategy

• Hog Rider has a moderate amount of health, which allows him to take hits in a pinch. However, he has no way to heal himself, so he should be paired with Healers is possible.
• Most of Hog Rider's abilities don't work when you're under the influence of a Golden Boot. However, the Ultra and Ultimate forms do still provide their benefits under these circumstances.
• After fusing the Hog Rider, it is generally better not to take additional Hog Riders to the squad, as there are no additional benefits granted by his abilities by having multiple Hog Riders on the squad.

Trivia

• The hog that he rides is most likely a "Phacochoerus africanus" (common warthog). Common Warthogs are smaller than boars but more agile which might explain why the Hog Rider can move particularly fast. Warthogs also have tusks, which is like the Hog Rider's hog in Clash of Clans.
• The Hog Rider bears more than a passing resemblance to Mr. T and Zangief from Street Fighter.
• The Hog Rider is featured in other non-Clash games. More specifically:
  • The Hog Rider is featured as a skin for Carl in Brawl Stars.
  • The Hog Rider, along with the Barbarian, Goblin, Wizard, Archer Queen, and Witch, were featured as a non-playable opponent in Chess.com.
• The Hog Rider was one of the three first participants in Squad Spotlight.
